Painting with Portlynn Step by step. (little house)

Little House

first draw out what you are going to paint in a colored pencil. lead pencil tends to smear.

with watered down Acrylic paint in the colors you want in a darker tone then what you want to finish product to be. getting color down on the page makes it less scary to start laying on the thick paint on the nice sketch. plus it tends to look better when you have an under painting.

Gradually darken colors of certain areas you want to have dark undertones in for the finished product.

Add some detailing and move from there. like the light source and some textures as well as other things you want to start working on and layer your painting from there.

Add more colors and tones and keep working the painting. then ad the grass and the trees and lighten the sky.

now time for the grass, i just like adding random analogous colors and see where it takes me.

more colors!!!!

and it continues!!!

but then i structure the grass and make it recognizable.

make the grass more defines by adding things like light tones and darker tones.

PAVEMENT!!!!!!!  start with dark and get lighter!

GATES!!!! self explainable!

almost done!!!!! next step is to add light tones!!!!

now we add the little details and we are done!

FINISHED!!!!! HAHAHA

Thank you for Watching and i hope this helps! it probably didn't cause i don't really know what i'm saying! lol but that's how i paint, and for those of you who were trying to learn from  this, (AMANDA) i hope that you did, sorry if you didn't you can complain in the comments section below. have a blessed day!
